We are looking for a strategic and experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to lead a growing, multi-state billing department in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position plays a vital role in overseeing billing operations, driving performance through metrics, and ensuring compliance across Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, commercial insurance, and patient pay. You’ll be responsible for process improvement, system implementation, and cross-functional collaboration—all while leading a high-performing team across time zones. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all billing functions to ensure accurate claim submission and timely collections for all payer types including Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, commercial insurance, and self-pay accounts Monitor medical documentation for authorization and billing accuracy for all payer types, including affiliated Managed Care Organizations Lead and support the team in managing appeals related to Medicaid claims Partner with field staff to secure accurate billing documentation and authorization for clean claim submissions Collaborate with Directors of Billing and Collections to maintain compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific regulations (Medicare, Medicaid, NHPCO, ACHC) Develop and analyze billing performance metrics to align with company goals Implement and enforce billing policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance Prepare detailed reporting and trend analyses to support strategic decisions Serve as a liaison to field operations, resolving escalated billing concerns and supporting customer service initiatives Lead billing-related projects, including implementation of new billing systems for acquisitions Hire, train, and develop billing staff while managing productivity and quality benchmarks Distribute workload strategically based on employee skill sets and department needs Foster communication and collaboration across departments including sales, operations, and finance About You Required Skills and Qualifications: College degree in accounting, finance, business management, technology, or healthcare administration Demonstrated experience in leading billing or revenue cycle operations, preferably in healthcare Proven ability to manage staff across multiple locations and time zones Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing requirements, managed care contracts, and commercial payers Familiarity with state and federal employment laws Experience with Homecare HomeBase or similar healthcare billing systems Strong analytical skills, project management abilities, and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills High level of comfort working with multiple computer platforms and digital tools Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing needs, and lead through transformation Preferred Experience: Prior experience managing remote teams Knowledge of revenue cycle performance metrics and continuous improvement methodologies Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint We Offer Benefits for All Associates (Full-Time, Part-Time & Per Diem): Competitive Pay 401(k) with Company Match Career Advancement Opportunities National & Local Recognition Programs Teammate Assistance Fund Additional Full-Time Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Mileage Reimbursement or Fleet Vehicle Program Generous Paid Time Off + 7 Paid Holidays Wellness Programs (Telemedicine, Diabetes Management, Joint & Spine Concierge Care) Education Support & Tuition Assistance (ASN to BSN, BSN to MSN) Free Continuing Education Units (CEUs) Company-paid Life & Long-Term Disability Insurance Voluntary Benefits (Pet, Critical Illness, Accident, LTC) Legalese This is a safety-sensitive position Employee must meet minimum requirements to be eligible for benefits Where applicable, employee must meet state specific requirements We are proud to be an EEO employer We maintain a drug-free workplace Our Company At Gentiva, it is our privilege to offer compassionate care in the comfort of wherever our patients call home.
