Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Occupational Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Thursday Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Desired, but not necessary if requirements are met License: Must have necessary requisites for licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Oregon State Board of Health Certifications: Current CPR certification required Must-Have: Bachelor of Science or master’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited college or university Description: Evaluates, plans, and provides treatment upon referral of a physician. Treats patients with disabilities, disorders, and injuries to relieve pain and develop, restore, or maintain physical function. Utilizes exercise, massage, heat, cold, air, light, water, electricity, or sound in treatment. Works collaboratively with family and health team members regarding patient abilities and goals. Must have thorough knowledge of therapy procedures, current orthopedic and neurological follow-up procedures, and rehabilitation practices. Possesses a positive attitude and utilizes good communication skills. Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required. Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills, including locating and opening documents, completing forms, and sending e-mail messages. Holiday coverage may be required.
