Eaton\u2019s IS AER ITD Aerospace Interconnect division is currently seeking a Test Engineer. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $82000 - $ 105,000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n** This role must work on-site M- F at our Camarillo facility. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nPRIMARY FUNCTION: \nThe Test Engineer will support test activities and deliverables for our interconnect technology product lines, including fixturing and equipment selection, internal and external test execution, and presentation of test results to internal and external stakeholders.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: \n\n\u2022 Executes production test programs in accordance with internal, customer, and Aerospace industry requirements. \n\u2022 Develops test program plans including defining tasks, resource requirements, test fixturing, test configuration, and test facility selection and coordination. \n\u2022 Works directly with external test facilities to quote and manage schedules of test programs. \n\u2022 Ensures that test procedures meet all Eaton environmental health and safety requirements. \n\u2022 Assists in root cause problem solving activities using standard methods, processes, and techniques. \n\u2022 Understands and incorporates the latest test technology and digital tools/software to improve test efficiency, quality, and safety.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar engineering field from an ABET accredited institution. \n\u2022 1+ years of product engineering experience and/or test engineering within a manufacturing environment inclusive of internships.\n\n\u2022 Ability to interpret and generate 3D CAD models and drawings.\n\n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Relocation is not available for this role .\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n \n\u2022 Knowledge and/or prior experience conducting product testing to include vibration, shock, environmental, and mechanical testing.\n\n\u2022 Prior experience writing test plans and reports.\n\n\u2022 Direct experience designing, conducting, and writing reports on Aerospace mechanical and/or electrical product testing. \n\u2022 Direct experience designing, conducting, and writing reports for mechanical and/or electrical product testing. \n\u2022 General awareness/knowledge of aircraft Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS). \n\u2022 General knowledge of interconnect components (connectors, backshells, wiring assemblies) for aviation, aerospace, and industrial markets.\n\n## ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:\n\n\u2022 Strong internal (within business) and external (customers, vendors, etc) communication skills. \n\u2022 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally. \n\u2022 Ability to break down complex problems into manageable pieces and execute. \n\u2022 Aware of technology trends influencing the aerospace industry. \n\u2022 Good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective intra and inter-departmental relationships at all levels.
